Both fully charged and locked onto one TG, the G5 lasted 20.5 hours, while the SDS lasted 8 hours. G5 screen timeout set to 45 seconds and SDS100 set to 10 seconds. Of the other two, the top one is 4.8 amps, and the second one is 4.8 amps, or if using both ports, 2.4 amps per port. Your SDS100 will want just a little under 2 amps to be able to charge while also scanning.Go to Maxims One Drive where he has all firmware version and go to the SDS100 folder. Download the file "SDS-100_V1_10_00.bin" and "SDS-100_SUB_V1._02_01.firm" and put those files on the SD card in the firmware folder. The Sentinel update to 2.03 went fine and now has the new tuning steps for custom searches, but I don't have any need for them. In this video, we show you how to enter upgrade keys (NXDN, DMR, & ProVoice) into your Uniden Scanner. We enter the NXDN upgrade key into a Uniden SDS100.Look at the specs for the bottom one, that comes with a cable. It's 5 volts at 3.4 amps. Of the other two, the top one is 4.8 amps, and the second one is 4.8 amps, or if using both ports, 2.4 amps per port. Your SDS100 will want just a little under 2 amps to be able to charge while also scanning.I spent about 5 hours with my buddy Dodge Rice (DodgeTheMachinist) learning how to place the inset SDS100, or whatever inlaid text on the sides. I used the website www.tinkercad.com to edit the original .stl file. It was a fun learning process. Dodge is a great machinist as well as a 3d print designer.Sep 6, 2018 · I believe it’s Uniden’s use of a radio case (for the SDS100) used in their marine line of portable radios that’s at issue here. The marine case is touted as being waterproof/resistant so Uniden kept the moisture resistant feature and advertised it as a plus for the SDS100. But the marine portables don’t use SDR. Uniden BCD536HP, BCD436HP, UBCD536PT, UBCD436PT, SDS100 (/E), SDS200 (/E) , USDS100 or UBCD3600XLT using the USB cable (supplied with scanner). Virtual control (ARC536PRO only) may require an additional connection to the GPS/serial port. See this document for more information. ARC536PRO audio recording requires a 1/8" audio cable.There is output indicating the SDS-100 Sub-processor. If you type a lower-case ASCII charactor from a limited set (dhlmoqrwz), several lines of formatted ASCII numbers are sent from the scanner. This looks like engineering debugging output rather than a customer feature. The sub-processor appears to be a NXP LPC4370.Nov 13, 2019. #3. You are going to need an amplified speaker. The only jack on the SDS100 is the headphone jack which has very limited power so you don't blow your eardrums out. Of course that speaker will also require power.
