The sensor is held on by a single M6 (10mm) bolt. Undo the bolt and wiggle the sensor out of the block....easier said than done a lot of the time. However, the useful life to where you're on the good side of the balance of cost to operate/repair the car is another story. I would put the useful life of a Tiburon at around 150,000ish miles before you're repairing it more than you're driving it.3394 posts · Joined 2009. #4 · Oct 14, 2012. thats the signs of a failing sensor, the car wont run when it fails, or it will misfire horribly. it shouldn't be driven, you can see it without headers, it is in plain ish sight. a 10mm bolt holds the sensor in and then it pulls out to be replaced. .These are a "hall effect switch", thus they need to be powered up and then you check for output voltage from the switch. The voltage should come/go based on whether or not a belt is buckled in. You can NOT just check continuity like you would for a make/break switch. -Yes, the buckle is side specific.Hand wash the car w/ a bucket, wash mit, and some car wash soap. With the soap, I don't think brands matter too much, but I like Kit soap. Use warm water and mix it properly. Redline used to just have MT90 which is a 75w-95 oil, so I think if you search the forum there are people who have tried it straight or with mixing it roughly 3 to 1 with a little MTL which is a lighter-weight gear oil.
